The Los Angeles County coroner announced Tuesday that it would defer the results of his official cause of death pending the results of a toxicology test, which could take years.

Presley grew up fearing her own mortality after finding her father dead at the age of nine, traumatizing her.

He often spoke of his own death and even referred to the backyard of the Graceland estate as a “graveyard”.

‘How many people have a family grave in the backyard? How many people are reminded of their fate, their mortality, every damn day? All the graves are lined up and there is a place there waiting for me, right next to my grandmother,” she told Playboy in 2003.

Despite her fear, the singer believed she had many more years to live last Sunday and told friend David Kessler, who works as a grief counselor, that she had “a lot to do.”

The couple were at the Graceland estate to celebrate what would have been Elvis’s 88th birthday and Presley, who rarely makes public appearances, told the adoring crowd: “You’re the only people who can get me out of the house.” house”.

‘I’m not kidding. I love you back and that’s why I’m here,’ she said.

In August of last year, Lisa Marie wrote an essay on the death of her son Benjamin to commemorate National Bereavement Awareness.

‘I can understand why people might want to avoid you once a terrible tragedy occurs. Especially a father who loses his child because it’s really your worst nightmare,’ he wrote in his essay, which was published by People.

Lisa Marie admitted that she had stayed away from the parents of other people whose children committed suicide, something that seemed to haunt her.

“I can remember a couple of times in my life where I met parents who lost their child and even though I was able to be there for them when it happened, I avoided them afterwards and never bothered to follow up because they literally became a proxy. . of my greatest fear,’ he wrote.

“I also discreetly judged them, and swore that I would never do whatever I felt they did or neglected in their actions and parenting choices with their child.”

She added that she had been “living in the horrible reality” of the “relentless grip” of grief since her son’s death.

Since her death, fans have come to place flowers at the estate’s front gate to honor the singer.

“In lieu of flowers, the family encourages anyone who wishes to send something to do so in the form of a donation to the Elvis Presley Charitable Foundation,” said the Graceland website read.

The only child of Elvis and Priscilla Presley, 54, was rushed to hospital Thursday morning after her housekeeper found her collapsed inside her Calabasas home.

EMTs who arrived at her home were able to revive her and her pulse returned, but by the time she arrived at the hospital she was brain dead, TMZ reported Friday.

She suffered a second cardiac arrest and died.

His 77-year-old mother Priscilla was at his bedside.

“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla Presley said in a statement Thursday night.

Her ex-husband Danny Keough, the first of four, with whom she was living at the time of her death, had returned to the house shortly after she collapsed and performed CPR until paramedics arrived.

Fans said the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll’s daughter, who hadn’t posted on Instagram since August, looked ‘incredibly sad’ and ‘really hurt’, two years after her son Benjamin’s suicide.

In addition, Presley was so traumatized by the death of her father, and by discovering his body at the age of nine, that she spent the next 35 years trying to be “cured” by Scientology, according to her former adviser, Karen De La Carriere. .

De La Carriere, known as the ‘Queen of Scientology’, was a high-ranking member of the church for 35 years.

She said Priscilla Presley, who had turned to Scientology to ease the pain of Elvis’s sudden death in 1977, used the church to help manage her daughter’s behavior problems.

As a result, Lisa Marie, then just 11 years old, and her mother were in a “hostile relationship” and in “mortal combat” for the rest of their lives, De La Carriere claims.

The counselor became Presley’s auditor (Scientology lingo counselor) and said Presley was put into “obedience therapy” when she was a schoolgirl.

De La Carriere said that Elvis would never have allowed that to happen if he had lived.
